Last moments of Mem Day

Went camping at Lake George, NY. Plenty of bugs and fresh air. Other surprises as well... :)

The car is finally unpacked, and piles of gear are all around me. I need to process about 500 images... and put 'em online. *yawn*

Putting the toys away has never been fun, and it doesn't seem to get better with the passing of the years. The toys themselves *do* get better though...

Today is Tom's Birthday. Happy Birthday Tom.

Tom is in good company with a May 26th B'day:

Of course, he also shares it with Pujya Sri Swamiji... whoever the hell that is.

Phoneblog fixed

Like anyone cares or noticed it was broken... and like anyone is reading this as well. :P T-Mobile changed how they format the phone number/return address of the messages, so they were being rejected... I know - Who cares... :-)

Put up some more picture galleries in the photos section... For my next trick I will take a nap.

17 vs. 20

Well, cicadas take 17 years to re-emerge from hiding. Apparently Andy Kaufman takes 20.

Is it? Isn't it? Who knows? Today, anything is possible...

Last thought of the day...

Don't eat so much pudding (even though it was *very* good). Bleh.

Hip-huggin' hoopla

Going through the news stuff while eating my lunch I came across this. It seems that the legislature down in LA works really hard for their constituency... Certainly there are issues more pressing...

Lunch. It's not just for breakfast anymore... In Japan, a big part of any good meal is the preparation and presentation... Lunch is no exception.

They're Coming!

They're almost here!

Sure it might get to be a little noisy, but it's once in 17 years. I will need to get my hands on some specimens for a macro digital photo shoot. I can't wait. :) I have my best macro camera (Nikon CP5700) out on loan... I better arrange for its return soon...

Adware/Spyware

Just spent the better part of 2 hours digging and removing adware, malware and spyware from my machine. The hell with Al Quaeda and all those militia people: put them on the back-burner for now. Go beat the christ out of all the adware/malware/spyware people instead.

These days, even if you don't install anything - this stuff STILL gets in. It takes over your browser, your processes, your bandwidth... Drives me nuts (if you couldn't tell). Desktop terrorism sucks.

Dog Days

The dog days of Summer are almost upon me. It is hot and humid, and the A/Cs are going into the windows today or tomorrow. Bleh. How I long for central air conditioning again... this big-heavy-device-in-a-window BS is too much trouble. And the window units don't work nearly as well as central stuff.

Had three turkey legs for lunch today... thought I'd only eat one, but when I looked around they were all gone. Woops. I think they're making me drowsy...

No time like to present to start doing something more productive than sitting in front of the comp - so off I go.

TROY

A friend brought me to the TROY movie premiere in NYC tonight. More celebs than you can shake a stick at... and free food too.

Yes. Brad and Jennifer were there. So was a good portion of the cast (including Peter O'Toole). Lots of others too, including Wil Smith, Chris Noth, Jill Hennessy, Annabeth Gish, an Olsen twin, Jai from Queer Eye, and so many more I couldn't hope to remember them all.

A lot of fun was had, and the movie wasn't bad either. The low part was looking at all the pictures I took. I don't think I have *ever* taken pictures this awful before-and I hope to not repeat the effort. Ray Charles would have done a better job with my camera than I did. Oh well. :)

Bleh.

TGIF - time to get and ingest food.

I'm hungry. Nice day today... it was 80 degress out (which will be a far cry from the low of 48 tonight - bleh).

On tonight's menu: steak and vegetables. Or Lean Cuisine, depending on the laziness factor. I dont' think I'll be having Milk, as it seems more and more that I am a 'lactard'...

:0

Allergies kicking in a bit today as well. Greeeeeaaat. *sniffle*

Juror #0193, Group 5

Looks like it's time for jury duty. I *must* report on 6/08 and serve 2 days or 1 trial. I hope it's something interesting...

64 and sunny today. A fine Thursday. I think I'll go get some groceries.

Nailed.

It seems people are always getting nailed for something these days.

It also seems that they get nailed for no reason at all. Ouch.

Soon to mop floors, wash rugs, eat olives , and nap.

Overcast and crappy out. Feh. Monday sucks.
