Less than 24 hours after finding out 'Harry' passed away, Gabriel and Cynthia are ready to come and help manage his "activities"... How thoughtful! They also want to help bury him... It brings a crocodile tear to my eye...
Shame he didn't live to see their devotion. The saga continues...
Poor 'Harry'. He was never alive and now he's dead. Terrible shame.
I have given my email-scamming-instant-419-children some time to sweat. I decided I would wait until they went from desperation to bitterness in their emails -- and lo and behold -- it took only 5 unanswered messages.

I have since responded as "Mr. Krotem's Secretary", Anita. I also mentioned the Last Will and Testament -- and that he had no living family. I am sure they will salivate over their keyboards at the thought of inheriting the wealth of a man that never existed.
The downside so far is that I am pissed-off that I didn't call the Medical Examiner "Quincy". Oh well... I have a feeling they will write back soon enough.
:-)
Today is a good day.
I heard back from my 'children' this morning. They love me; they REALLY love me!
HA!
AND, they want $750 sent to Western Union. Ummm... Let me think about that one... Ummm.... No. I have a hard time getting over the fact that 'Gabriel and Cynthia' do not realize the humor in my emails (or in my 'Name' for that matter...).
We live in a crazy world. I wonder if G and C realize that *they* are crazy if they believe they will get money from me. Oh well. They did like Harry's picture, so they must have good taste. :P
Yet another response to my friends the Onana Bananas, chock-full of non-sensical non-sequitorious comments. I also included my 'Harry' picture from the previous post... I bet they get excited over the 'CEO' part.
*yawn*
Bedtime for me...
OK. What do you get when you combine Colin Powell, Dick Cheney, and George W. Bush?
Why, 'Harry S. Krotem', of course!

Soon all will be in place. Muahahahahahaha... OK. I know it's not *that* funny, but no need to discourage me.
:-)
I now have two children, who claim to be from Sierra Leone/The Ivory Coast/Bumblef*ck/Wherever. That's located on the western side of Africa, for those of you who are geographically challenged. In the latest email sent to me, they refer to me as 'Dad' and included pictures (Gabriel and Cynthia) and 'bank' account info...
Very classy site... the 'President', Board of Directors, and Secretary look VERY official... **snicker**
Now the meat and potatoes of the scam is revealed: You can indeed log into the banking site, but your only option is to withdraw or transfer (canned page) the $4.5 million -- and you are required to enter REAL account info to do so... I am sure the incidental 'expenses' are right around the corner... Not too mention that an empty submission shows that VAT (Value Added Tax) charges are added as an expense...
The account information (canned page) page is very interesting, especially since the account holds an even anmount of money ($4,500,000.00 -- I guess the banks there do not offer interest on such puny accounts... :P).
More to follow after I plan my next steps...
Been a little busy these last few days, and I need to update the saga of the Email Scam/Nigerian Money Fraud/Mugu Monkeybusiness.
Here goes... I did not respond to my new 'niece' and 'nephew' - the honorable Gabriel and Cynthia Onana of Sierra Leone. Yeah right. Now they are getting pretty pissy, so it's time to throw a bone their way...
Their recent emails:
My latest response:
They sure can be pushy... just a little further and I think I'll be able to some some really fun stuff. :-)
Got another email from my 'friends' in Sierra Leone. They are so excited... I'm getting bored with this already, so I think I will spice it up a bit with a well-crafted response.
Other than that, I've been configuring my new Linksys RV016 Gateway/Router. Very nice toy so far... tainted by some minor bugs since it is so new. Bleeding edge indeed...
The email scammers have contacted me again. I can't wait to see where this goes...
I have responded, and as usual pepper my message with the non-sensical. I believe these mugu will not catch on... we shall see.
I responded to the desperate email I mentioned in the last post. I'm guessing they will catch on rather quickly... especially if they've ever watched Saturday morning cartoons, or Silence of the Lambs... If they don't, I'll have some fun to look forward to.
Overcast and muggish out... still no fix for my phoneblog. T-Mobile is less than helpful. Time to rebuild. Add expletives here...
Got a lovely '419' scam email this morning (the ones where someone usually in Nigeria tries to say thay have money and need money from you to get their money - and that they will share a large portion of it with you). I guess some horses never die, regardless of how many times they've been kicked.
Time to pick up my dry-cleaning...
So Bush is thinking of naming a Anti-terrorism Czar, and picked a nominee for the CIA top spot. I guess filling the CIA role is good, but do we need another Czar? Is this supposed to be as effective as the various Drug Czars of the '80s were? Why the hell does it have to be a Czar? Czarist Russia *really* wasn't that great of a place... and of course -- where are they now?
I suspect that adding layers of bureaucracy will only add to the lack of communication and confusion that faces the various intelligence agencies. I also don't think a figurehead position will do much to change anything (the 9/11 Commission's recommendation stipulates that the appointee will not have budgetary or hire/fire power - so it sounds a lot like a lame duck to me).
Muggy and bright... ran into Manhattan to do some banking stuff, then back to the cave. Must remember to mail out my voter registration today. 4 more years! Ummm... I don't think anyone needs another 4 years from the "W". He is probably very tired right now, and could use the rest.
Mr. Prez is probably very happy today, as WMDs were discovered! Of course, the problem would be that they were discovered in North Carolina, in a convertible...
Still waiting for T-Mobile to help me get my phone-blog-thing working again. Since the message format changed, it's been on hiatus. They wait 7 days to look at the trouble ticket, call you, then tell you it may take another 5-7 days to respond to the ticket. ??? Nothing is as fun as being a technical support captive...
*yawn* The blueberry pancakes from this morning make me want to nap.
Not where I was born... but where I grew up is in the news. I imagine the odds against this occurring are pretty steep... planes are supposedly very safe -- safer than cars even (statistically speaking). Tell that to the two guys who are now headed off into permanent retirement from the job of life. :P
Funny that most 'news' sources jumped on a bandwagon to say that 5 people were killed (instead of the actual 2), and even that another person was still trapped! Nuts.
Today I haven't left the house (which is not a surprise). I wonder what tomorrow will hold for me...
In other news - this moron should be traded for any real hostages in Iraq. Anyone who would make a video hoax of themselves being held captive and getting beheaded - then distibute it to get attention - deserves all of the scorn I can muster. What an inconsiderate imbecile. And take a gander at the picture accompanying the story -- put a shirt on for shit's sake.
James Johnson, Jr. has shuffled off this mortal coil... "Cocaine's a helluva drug..." The 'Super Freak' has left the building.
Other than that, crazy people everywhere have been killing others right and left.
Phoneblog is broken, as a result of some T-Mobile changes. I am trying (unsuccessfully so far) to get them to 'unchange' for me, so I won't have to redo my stuff... Ho hum. This is a real bummer, since I have a new phone camera and was getting used to how it worked with my system.
In other news... I can't wait for this...
